LBJ Library

Welcome to the LBJ Library!

Students are scheduled to visit the library on a regular basis (usually every other week) with their Language Arts classes.  Students may check out up to two books at a time, and the books are due the next scheduled visit.

Often students finish their books before their next scheduled visit, and in these cases they are encouraged to return their books early and check out something else.

The library is open before school, occasionally at lunch, and for a few minutes after school.

There are over 13,000 books in our library, and new books are added every year.  With this many titles it should be no problem finding books that interest all students.  Also, LBJ has an accelerated reader program where the books (fiction) are identified with reading levels.

Our library also has 27 computers that the students use to find books.  In addition, teachers bring classes in so the students can use the computers for project and report research.   Students may also use the computers to type reports and homework assignments if needed.
