As our choir program continues to grow, I am a firm believer that choir offers a unique experience in which students may gain not only musical skills and a lifelong appreciation for music, but also discipline, self-confidence, and a sense of accomplishment by working with others toward the common goal of EXCELLENCE.
I must emphasize that Choir is a performance-based class. In order to be a member of the choir, students are required to participate in all concerts and rehearsals and their grades are dependent on their attendance and participation. Students should be comfortable with the idea of regularly performing as a group.
Please review the information in the Choir Handbook (under Forms on the left side). This contains information for students and parents concerning required materials, grades, concerts, and more. If you are new to the Choir Program, please fill out the Parent Information Form at the end of the Handbook, sign, and return to Ms. Castro as soon as possible.
Parents, I hope you will become involved in the program by attending both rehearsals and concerts. I would love for families and friends to see the students’ preparation come to fruition. I am sure you will be quite impressed with the hard work and dedication these students put forth! Contact me at any time if you have questions/concerns/comments about your student or the program. The quickest way to contact me is via email.
Parents, I look forward to seeing you at future choir events! Students, I can’t wait to make beautiful music with you!
