Counseling
Mission Statement
LBJ’s comprehensive school counseling program partners with staff, students, families and the community to reduce barriers to learning so that all students can acquire skills needed to become effective students and responsible adults. The program facilitates positive development in the areas of academics, personal/social and career awareness, with the goal of supporting students in becoming successful contributors to society.

When safety concerns are reported by students, school counselors must involve others to keep students safe. This includes:
- Someone is hurting the student
- The student wants to hurt someone
- The student wants to hurt themselves
